Reading

I think that I must restrict myself. I usually read a lot, about 1-3 books a week. In the last 9 months that number has dwindled until I can honestly say that I have not finished a pleasure book in months. (Gasp) If you know me at all or any other reading-crazed, writing-impelled person like me, THIS IS A BIG DEAL.

I just realized though that I have read tons of websites and blogs about weddings. I have scoured the internet for ideas, deals and DIYs.

And I think that I need to stop. The wedding is 24 days away, (is it too early to start a count down?) and I am seeing things that I want to do. But it's too late to make changes. (Isn't it?) And our budget is not budging an inch. So how can I have giant flowers and banners and signs and things like this...

Nick bought my band last night and it's lovely but it doesn't look like any of these, but I like the middle one here.

when I already have plans for books and teacups, pearls and sunflowers and little cake toppers with signs that are sweetly Nick and me. (I will show all, but I don't want to spoil anything until after the wedding and many are still works in progress.) And now I have tons of music, but I'm still not sure if it's the right kind, so I ordered 9 CDs the other day to add variety and it was way cheaper than buying even 90 songs by themselves.

So wedding ideas are my latest temptation. What can you not resist?

  2. I know, right? I actually found smaller but equally cute paper flowers that I actually might try to make. They are here- http://www.marthastewart.com/article/paper-poppies-and-peonies

  3. "ideas, deals, and DIYs" sort of sounds like a line from a rap song, though they wouldn't be that legit of a rapper I supposed. I'm just saying...
