succulent potting for plants

Still plant hunting.

We bought some nice herbs over the past weekend--lemon thyme and rosemary. I still want to buy some basil and then I will be cooking with fresh herbs instead of the three-year-old dried variety. I'm dreaming of rosemary fries, pesto sauces and lemon thyme fish and chicken.

These are some planters that I've found on Etsy. But hopefully with the skills that Nick has been acquiring in his ceramics class he'll be able to make something that our plants will love calling home.

  1. The bold orange one is so fun! I can imagine the the contrast it would have against the plants.

Cooking with fresh herbs is the best... basil is my favorite for sure!

  2. I could eat basil all day long! Since I bought a plant, I've been putting it in pretty much everything, you'll never look back x

  3. Such beautiful planters. All my houseplants are still in the green plastic containers. Thanks for sharing these.

  5. Oh, basil is the best plant to have! All summer we would eat basil, tomato, and mozzarella sandwiches with fresh basil. And then pesto sauces, yes...

  6. I have been looking for FAll-ish plants to go in our home (fake ones...I am not good at keeping real ones alive.) Anyways- these are awesome. I love the ceramics. So pretty.

    1. I just painted a few pictures of cacti, just in case anything happens to the live ones. :)

  7. Mmm rosemary fries sound delicious!! I currently have basil growing by my window and it's in dire need of a real planter. That gorgeous green one would be perfect :)
