project mode

I wanted to end this week with something tranquil. But I haven't been feeling particular tranquil these days. I have a midterm to take later today, a messy house to clean (SO MANY DISHES!), homework and work-work, pictures that I want to take, errands I have to run and lists of my to-do lists. I'm not very stressed about any one item but I am feeling more focused--in project mode. So, I hope that you have a productive weekend. Or not, depending on your mood.

This is one of my to do list items for our home. Find an awesome rug or kilim. Does anyone know what the difference is between a rug and a kilim?

  3. Wow! I love these patterns and textiles. Admittedly, I started getting really interested in textiles and fabrics a couple of months ago, when my friends and I visited the textile museum in Toronto. I loved it and would really like to go back. It was fantastic and had all different types of materials. From what I know, a kilim is a TYPE of rug. It just refers to how it is woven and constructed. They are tapestry woven, I believe, which means they're made on a loom. (And kilims come from the Middle East, I believe.) I hope that helps!

  5. Love these photos!! I feel like your week is exactly like mine a week ago. Midterms always seem to make everything get a little out of control. Project mode is good. I'm glad your weekend is looking productive, mine is... a little lazy. ;) xo. Deanna
