pot ledom is top model backwards

Sunglasses: Target, Sweater: JCrew (ebay), Skirt: Thrifted, Sandals: B.O.C. (DSW)

Guess who's been watching too much America's Next Top Model? "Wanna be on top?" My days lately have consisted of listening to jackhammers while I type away and sit in companionable noisy silence with my sister. We are something of kindred spirits even though twelve years separate us. We've  also been painting, baking, photographing and shopping, but mostly writing. It's interesting to hear her, so young, coming up with plot twists and fleshing out her characters. I like who she is now, but I'm also excited to see in what ways she'll change and deepen over the years.

  1. I totally knew what Pot Ledom meant before reading this post, so don't feel bad.

  3. Ha ha, I used to watch America's Next Top Model reruns every day while I worked out. I love the purple flowers on your shoes! I have a headband I think would match them perfectly. =]

    1. The gym that I go to has TVs on every machine. It makes working out more exciting watching Law and Order SVU while running. :) Now if only my exercise powered the TVs maybe then I wouldn't want to stop so soon. :)

  6. Aww I love this... and I love that you have such a cool relationship with your younger sister! I'm on the younger side, with a big sis 16 years older than me. :)

    1. I think older siblings have a chance to be a really good influence, like a fun parental support.

  7. Hello Alison,

Thanks for visiting my blog. Did you like Juliet Marillier's Daughter of the Forest? I'll have to pick it up! Wildwood Dancing is set in Trannsylvania; though I've never been there, her descriptions of it as lush and mysterious are fantastic.

I love your outfit, especially because you are able to look nice without designer brands! I'd love to follow you!

    Take care,
