But back to feasting on treats. These pictures capture the day we found a deal for thirty dollars worth of pastries at a local gluten free bakery for half the price. We hesitated for a moment (not really, I just wrote that to build anticipation) then we rushed over to claim the triple chocolate cake before someone else stole it out from beneath our quivering nostrils. At the bakery we chose one of these and two of those and Nick deliberated for far too long even though I knew what he would want and I told him right away. He ended up agreeing with me, albeit abashedly. When we got home we laid out our feast on the table and I insisted on a few pictures before we vultured forth. The triple chocolate cake was good but I would have been happier with a third brownie. They were so good. Treats like those call for condensation ripe glasses of milk. And I missed it. A little. But that didn't dampen the pleasure of a chocolatey brownie.

Wow, it looks like you had a real feast! So delicious. I like the panda mug and your blue plate.
ReplyDeleteThey are very cute.
Thanks Liv. We're actually subletting a place right now, so the wares aren't ours, but we like 'em. :)
DeleteWhich bakery did you go to? Somewhere in Cambridge? My husband and I met and fell in love in Cambridge while I was working at MGH as a nurse and he was a veterinary student at Tufts. We miss the place and dream of returning sometime for work or school. Enjoy a bit of the late summer there for us!
ReplyDeleteOh, that's so cool! We've loved Cambridge. The bakery is called Rosie's. I've seen a few around.
DeleteDisney World?! And Belize before this? Can I have Nick's job please?
ReplyDeleteThose treats look amazing btw. ;)
Hopefully cookies will do the job. Hang in there!

Wow...$30 worth of yummy baked goods for $15?? That is amazing! Hahah, you guys are smart for hesitating "for a moment." :P
ReplyDeleteAlso, your panda mug is adorable! But ah, filling your life with sweet treats and shopping sounds like a perfect idea - you'll probably barely notice he's gone with all that! ( hahah, kidding, but at least it'll help ^^ )

ReplyDeleteHonestly? I barely noticed all the delicious baked goods because I was so busy drooling over your awesome polka dot blouse. But now that you mention it, the goods look amazing too!
ReplyDeletep.s.-- clothes shopping and sweet treats really DO make missing someone a little bit more tolerable.
