adventure is right where you are

The weekend is here and none too soon.
Tonight I'm going to my first football game ever.
Earlier today I was told that I was good in not so many words. It really made an impact on me and I felt deeply that i would rather be thought good by a few people than great by any number.
I saw this post and was so excited. I'll explain more in detail, but now it's time to pay it forward. The first three people (I'm saying people to be politically correct, but I'd bet my left pinkie that it's all ladies who will "win" ) who comment below and specifically ask to receive something from me and pledge to "pay it forward" and make the announcement within 72 hours on their own blog will receive a unique, personal and probably handmade gift from me.
Hope you have an adventure this weekend.

  1. I don't have a blog. But since I'm the first, I think that i should still get something handmade :)

  2. Hmm...if this is Helen Hitimana you are in big trouble for trolling me on my blog. If this happens to be another Helen then perhaps we can work something out. Just email me.

  3. what a sweat post. you are right. we often overvalue external validation. I do it too sometimes...

as to the other part. I'm in between jobs and homes and a lot of other things right now, so I can't participate right now in a pay it forward game. otherwise I would have loved to get a little something.

    happy weekend xxx

    1. Ooo Congrats on the baby! And yes that should and must take precedence over crafting for others. :)

  5. I couldn't agree more. There are a few people that are really, really close to me, and for them I want to be... good. I don't need to be perfect. I don't need to produce or perform. I just want to be loved by them, anything else is a bonus :-)
